I'll stamp all over 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" the American as the combatants confronted each other to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I will damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather attacked former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Success
However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's largest financial successes, regularly earning substantial earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul met for the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly going ahead.
